About Our Program

Climbing Tree Community School is licensed by the AZ Bureau of Child Care. We follow accreditation standards set forth by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the AZ Early Learning Standards for Preschool and Pre-kindergarten, and the AZ Learning Standards for Kindergarten. We are a DES-certified school with a 4-star Quality First rated program and an Institute of Better Learning (IBE) partner.

We offer part-day, full-day, and extended-day programs for children 3 years old - kindergarten. Our school year program operates August - May, with a summer camp in June - July. We follow TUSD's calendar for school breaks, holidays, and in-service days.

Our Curriculum

We view children as feeling, thinking, feeling, creative, and growing individuals. Our curriculum is child-centered and focuses on play as a dynamic form of learning that involves a wide range of intellectual, social, emotional, and physical opportunities. The curriculum encompasses a wide variety of experiences that are based on a deep understanding of child development to support and expand each child's unique learning journey and development.

We strongly believe in the importance of low student-to-teacher ratios allowing more individual care, guidance, and support. Class sizes will range and are dependent on current enrollment. A typical classroom could have 12-18 children and two teachers.

Tuition

Your monthly tuition will vary depending on your chosen program and schedule. Initial enrollment fees include a registration fee of $125, 1/2 of the 1st month tuition, and a $50 per semester supply fee to secure and hold your placement.

Tuition payments can be made a tracked through our management software Procare Solitions.

Contact us to learn more about our DES contracts and Quality First scholarships for our preschool and pre-kindergarten programs. Kindergarten families can apply to the Institute of Better Learning (IBE) for a significant tuition reduction.

Summer Camps

We typically offer 8 weekly sessions through the summer months. Please note that we begin the day after Memorial Day, and are not open on June 19 or July 4. Our summer camp hours are 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

We offer summer camps for children aged 3 through kindergarten.

Our play-based summer camp program is designed for children to be engaged in free-choice activities and daily enrichment classes including, library, art, cooking, music, and STEM. Free-choice activities include art, games, building, dramatic play, dress-up, and activities to boost their problem-solving, cooperation, and other social and emotional skills. The camp's daily schedule and activities are specially designed for preschool, pre-kindergarten, and kindergarten-aged children.
