Lead Teacher - Shayna Smith
I’m Shayna Smith, but I go by Ms. Sparkles in the classroom. I have been married over 30 years and am the mother of two adult children. I have been teaching in the preschool setting for over 23 years creating an engaging and stimulating environment on the daily. In our child-guided classroom, your young learner will be part of the decision-making process regarding most of the major environmental changes and many of the daily invitations.
I bring over 500 hours of training in Early Childhood Development and am an educator of educators. I’m thrilled for the opportunity to work with your young learner, you, and your family.
Teaching Assistant - Maggie Meloy
My name is Maggie and I just love being a part of the team at Climbing Tree Community School! I am originally from Wisconsin, but have been living in the Tucson area for over 10 years. I have two daughters, one of whom is a current Climbing Tree student. I have been working in the field of education since 2014 and hold a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from ASU. Working with young children is my passion, and my goal is to foster a love of learning in each child I teach. It is truly a joy to get to work with young learners every day!
